Vue.js agency in Nice

An alternative to React, quicker for an in-house team to pick up when they will take the product over.

What we do with it

Vue.js at our clients, concretely

Used in Vue 3 on a product configurator for customising client orders, and taught in professional training. We propose it when your own team must be able to take over quickly.

The limits

When we recommend something else

If your team already knows React, switching brings nothing: the learning cost outweighs the gain.

Method

How we bring Vue.js into a project

We create Vue 3 projects with Vite and TypeScript, in a repository in your name. Components are written as single-file components using the Composition API: a screen's logic is grouped by purpose (loading a list, calculating a price, handling a filter) and can be moved into reusable functions called composables. Vue Router handles navigation and Pinia the state shared between screens, such as a basket or the choices already made in a configurator.

When Vue.js extends an existing PHP application, we add it screen by screen behind the routes already in place, rather than imposing a separate application from the outset. Calculation rules are isolated in files tested with Vitest, and components with Vue Test Utils; ordering journeys are checked end to end with Playwright.

Continuous integration checks types, formatting and tests, then deploys to the hosting opened under your credentials. Because Vue.js is often chosen so that your own team can take over, the documentation is written for your developers: naming conventions, the role of each Pinia store, the update procedure. A handover session working through your own code can round off delivery.

For your business

What it changes in practice

For the people using the tool, Vue.js means screens that update as they type: a price recalculated the moment an option changes, a summary that is always correct, a form that flags an inconsistency before it is sent. Fewer round trips to the server also means fewer incorrect orders for your customer service team to fix afterwards.

For the business, the main effect is independence. Vue.js code is readable enough that a developer on your team, even one from another background, can correct a label or add an option without waiting for a supplier. Small changes no longer have to go through a quote every time. If you would rather hand future work to another company, nothing stops you: the repository and the hosting are in your name. Finally, Vue.js can be added to an existing site in stages, so your online activity is not frozen for the duration of a full rebuild.

Our reading of it

What we take away from Vue.js

Vue.js usually enters our projects because of a team constraint rather than a technical preference. When the person who will maintain the interface is not a full-time front-end developer, Vue reads almost like annotated HTML and the cost of entry drops sharply — whereas React stays our default whenever hiring on the open market matters.

The reservation concerns the ecosystem: fewer third-party libraries, so occasionally code we have to write ourselves. We offset that with strict typing through TypeScript, which becomes essential as soon as components pass richer business objects around. For a product that must hold one imposed structure across several teams at once, Angular remains more coherent.

Decision guide

Should you choose Vue.js?

Vue.js or React if our own team has to take the product over after delivery?

If your developers come from PHP, traditional HTML or a background outside front-end work, Vue.js is the safer choice: its components keep template, logic and styling clearly apart, which is readable without lengthy training. If your team already works with React, stay with React: switching library costs more in learning than it returns. The deciding factor is the skill set of the people who will maintain the code.

Is Vue.js suited to a product configurator or a complex order form?

Yes. A configurator chains options that depend on one another, with a summary recalculated after every choice. Vue 3's reactivity system handles those dependencies without hand-written synchronisation code. We used it on a configurator that lets clients customise their orders. For a plain presentation page with no interaction, on the other hand, a static site is enough and Vue.js adds nothing.

Vue.js or Angular for a mid-sized internal tool?

Angular brings a complete architecture, but also a large set of concepts to master before anyone is productive. Vue.js can be adopted gradually: start with a few screens, then add structure with its router and Pinia for shared state. For an internal tool run by a small team, Vue.js means less code and less training. Angular is worth it if your organisation already uses it elsewhere.

Client questions

What clients ask us about Vue.js

Is Vue.js less future-proof than React because it is less well known?

Vue.js is not backed by a tech giant, but it has been maintained for many years by a team funded by its community and sponsors. The move from Vue 2 to Vue 3 required a migration effort that is now behind it. For a new application, starting directly on Vue 3 avoids that work and puts the project on the actively supported version.

We have an application built on Vue 2: should we migrate it?

Vue 2 has reached end of life and no longer receives free security fixes. An application exposed to the internet therefore warrants a move to Vue 3. The size of the job depends mostly on the third-party libraries in use, some of which have no direct equivalent. We begin by listing those dependencies to scope the work, then propose a migration in stages.

Can your developers train our team in Vue.js?

Yes. We teach Vue.js in professional training, which is precisely why we recommend it when your team needs to take control quickly. Training can be built around your own application's code, so your developers learn on the screens they will actually maintain rather than on a generic example unrelated to your business.

Can Vue.js be added to an existing PHP or Laravel site?

Yes, and that is one of its common uses. Vue.js can drive a single block on a page rendered by PHP, such as a quote form or an options picker, without touching the rest of the site. With Laravel, Inertia also lets you build entire screens in Vue.js while routing and authentication stay on the server. You avoid a complete split between front end and back end.

Can a Vue.js application rank well in search engines?

A standard Vue.js application builds its pages in the browser, which search engines index less reliably. For public pages that need to be found, Nuxt renders content on the server or generates it in advance, using the same Vue components. For a configurator or a tool reserved for signed-in clients, the question does not arise: those screens are not meant to be indexed in the first place.
